Released the “BRT Simple Calculator of Project Emissions (SCOPE)”

ITDP (Institute for Transportation & Development Policy) has released the ‘BRT Simple Calculator of Project Emissions (SCOPE),’ an easy-to-use Excel spreadsheet that predicts the climate and air quality impacts of new BRT corridors. With high-quality default data and a flexible interface, the tool can be used to plan future projects or evaluate existing ones and can be customized based on the amount of available data. The SCOPE tool is an update of ITDP’s BRT Transport Emissions Evaluation Model for Projects (TEEMP) with new and improved data and methods. The tool, which has been reviewed by global transport experts, is already being used by ITDP Mexico in collaboration with the city of Mérida to plan BRTs.
