“The Observatory on Passenger and Freight Mobility presents the Q1 2024 report.
This report (Q1 2024), created during the COVID-19 health emergency, provides some quarterly analyses based on data collected by the Observatory on Passenger and Freight Mobility set up by the Technical Mission Structure (STM) of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT) with the aim of:
- i) monitoring the evolution of passenger and freight traffic affecting the country for different modes of transport;
- ii) quantifying and, where possible, anticipating the needs of the Italian transport and logistics sector, to better plan and program investments in infrastructure and transport services;
- iii) disseminating mobility data and statistics to the scientific community and scholars, also to contribute to increasing the country’s scientific production, as well as knowledge in the field of mobility and transport.
