The video of the final results sharing event of the project “Technical Support for a clean, smart and fair urban mobility – Italy on the Move,” funded by the European Union through the Technical Support Instrument (European Commission – DG REFORM), of which the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport is the beneficiary, is now online.
The initiative, launched in November 2023, succeeded in highlighting the strong impact and central role of a national strategy to support SUMPs and enabled the development of skills as a pillar to provide local authorities with effective tools to design, implement, and monitor SUMPs, allowing continuous and broad stakeholder engagement.
The project, in fact, was conceived with the aim of accelerating the adoption of sustainable mobility solutions in Italian cities, in line with the European Union’s “Fit for 55” objectives, and proved to be a valuable opportunity to consolidate existing knowledge, compare with the best European experiences, and develop operational tools useful to local administrations.
