The PTV Innovation Day is PTV’s annual event, designed to connect with the community of PTV software users and partners. This year, the event took place on April 9th and 10th at the Hotel Diana in Rome. The TPS team, represented by Erica Pallaracci, a certified PTV trainer, and Andrea Colovini, had the opportunity to engage with the community of transport modelers and planners. They discussed the latest technical innovations in both multimodal models and technological tools for traffic surveys. This allowed them to enhance their expertise and to observe and share the state of the art in transport planning.

PTV Innovation day 2025 – The conference

The PTV Innovation Day is a crucial networking opportunity—a day for mobility experts to exchange ideas, discover software updates, and present innovative projects and applications of our products.

This year, the event brought together seasoned professionals from urban mobility, ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems), integrated planning, and advanced simulation. Attendees included clients, technology partners, representatives from local authorities, and public mobility stakeholders. In addition to various presentations by the PTV Group Staff showcasing software updates and new advancements, AMT Genova, RFI, GO Mobility, TRT, Ferrovie dello Stato, the University of Salerno, Trenitalia, and GTT also presented their work.

The award for the best presentation, the PTV Mobility Award, was won this year by the GO Mobility group. Their presentation, delivered by Daniele Di Antonio and Davide Floridi, focused on Activity-Based models applied to mobility planning, featuring an interesting edge case on free public transport in the Metropolitan City of Milan.

The event was a valuable experience for staying connected with the community, for requesting information and clarifications on the use of various PTV software, but most importantly, for offering an overview of different planning styles and levels through discussion among former colleagues, current competitors, and clients.
