The logo for the SUMP (Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan) of the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria is an ideogrammatic summary of the foundational and fundamental elements of the place.
The first element is the people, the real subject of the SUMP and at the center of the generative process of good practices. Not only as recipients, users, and beneficiaries, but above all as creators, interpreters, and protagonists. They propose, collaborate, evolve, progress, and improve.
The second element we wanted to represent is the cities with their streets and means of transport. The continuous movement of the city, its vehicles, and its people. The living heart, the traces that connect, create bonds and relationships. It roots, unites, moves, connects, and grows.
The third element is the mountain, an important area for the Metropolitan City that characterizes much of the territory with all the accessibility and mobility challenges for the people living there.
The fourth element is the sea, an essential element for the entire Metropolitan City. The sea as a condition that unites, protects, identifies, makes one dream, travel, and live.
All these elements take shape in the SUMP logo, which reflects the identity in the form and positioning of the four other elements, all united by the typical amaranth color.
